The Australian Satellite of the Cochrane EPOC Group was established in 2005 to assist evidence-based policy-making by supporting, promoting and helping to implement systematic reviews of interventions designed to improve health care practice and the delivery of effective health services relevant to Australia and the South East Asia region.

Funding support for the satellite is as follows:

Strategic development support from Cochrane Governing Board, administered by Cochrane Australia (1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018)
Monash Department of Clinical Epidemiology at Cabrini (1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019)
